If your house was on fire and you called 911, you would expect fire trucks to show up within minutes.
BUT WHAT IF THEY DIDN’T?
If someone you love fell from a ladder and you called 911, you would take it for granted that an ambulance was on its way.
BUT WHAT IF IT WASN’T?
The first responders we rely on at the scariest moments in our lives leave their jobs, homes, and families at a moment’s notice to serve their communities, and they don’t do it for a paycheck.

YOUR COMMUNITY
The volunteer fire service needs people just like you! The number of volunteer first responders in PA has plummeted from over 300,000 in the 1970’s to just over 30,000 today, leaving many communities drastically understaffed and unprotected. Active fire fighting isn’t the only way to get involved. Help is also needed with administrative tasks, raising funds for new equipment, basic station duties, and more. Anyone with a willingness to help can find a way to make a difference.
